Dear Ones,
The first time I ever led worship in our gorgeous sanctuary, there was only a handful of people in the room as I preached into a small camera. It was 2021 and we were still mostly in lockdown due to COVID. Those early years were difficult as we struggled to find ways to safely be together. But we persevered and stayed strong.
Today when I lead worship on Sunday mornings I’m surrounded by an average of 150 people in person and approximately 75 people online. It’s my favorite time of the week! I love hearing the joyful sounds of friends greeting one another, singers warming up, children laughing, and new connections being made.
I know this kind of experience doesn’t just happen. It takes every one of us to create this weekly magic and I want to thank you for being a part of it. Each and every one of you commits countless hours, dollars, and prayers to the church – THANK YOU!
As we approach our annual pledge drive, I know you are already engaged and committed. I see it every week. But I’m wondering if you are ready to help us truly Let Our Light Shine?
We are dreaming this year about growing our Religious Education and Music offerings, increasing the hours for our Membership Coordinator, staff merit increases, an All-Church Leadership Retreat, and an increase in our UUA dues.
It’s time to dream bigger and shine brighter! Please join me in making this happen by continuing to support the church with your time, talent, and treasure.
