A Final Resting Place: The Memorial Walkway and Garden of Remembrance
The Memorial Walkway Team presenters: Bill Finn, Hillary Hutchinson, and Trip Banner
Local landscape architects: Julie Hensley and Amanda Barton

The Unitarian Church in Charleston churchyard is a sacred space that serves as a bridge between those who have come before us, our present community and future Charleston Unitarians. For those who hold the Churchyard as a meaningful place for them, the newly completed Memorial Walkway and the expansion of the Garden of Remembrance provide new opportunities. Landscape architects Julie Hensley and Amanda Gordan will present the design for the expansion of the Garden of Remembrance. The Churchyard Team will present the Memorial Walkway design and how one can reserve a niche for inurnment of their ashes. During the second half of the hour, we will take a walk around the churchyard and answer questions.

12:30 PM - Membership Lunch & Learn - Upper Gage Hall, Room 4
For those who want to learn more about Membership at the Unitarian Church in Charleston, we will hold a special "Lunch & Learn" in Upper Gage Hall after Church & Coffee Hour. Lunch will be provided.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Danielle Lopez at danielle@charlestonuu.org.

Volunteer Opportunity
Saturday, April 26th

The Edisto Natchez-Kusso Tribe is looking for some help with their upcoming powwow on Saturday, April 26th. Specifically, we are in need of 6–10 volunteers to help direct parking throughout the day. We’re hoping to organize two shifts of 3–5 volunteers each, with the first shift running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the second from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If anyone in the congregation is able to offer a few hours of their time, it would be a great service to our tribal community. I also believe it would be a fun and meaningful day for those who volunteer—a chance to experience Native culture firsthand and support an event that means a great deal to us. Contact Rev. Rebecca or church member Clint Tawes
