Volunteer Opportunity
Turn90 is looking for volunteers to help facilitate classes at MacDougall Correctional Institution in Ridgeville.
Starting in July, we’re launching a new pre-release program focused on job readiness, financial literacy, and digital literacy. These classes are taught once a week by volunteers and follow a “turn-key” curriculum—everything is laid out step by step, and we’ll provide all the materials you need.
Here’s what’s coming up:
Job Readiness begins in July, held Wednesdays from 12:30–2:00 PM
Financial Literacy also starts in July, held Fridays from 2:00–3:30 PM
Digital Literacy will launch in October, held Wednesdays from 2:00–3:30 PM
Each class is 90 minutes long, and we aim to have two volunteers per session.
If you’re interested or want to learn more, we’d love to hear from you!
Blessing Box Update
THANK YOU to all of you have signed up for the Blessing Box. There are still open dates this summer. Also, the back up pantry is bare. Please consider bringing more food so that we have enough to refill during the week.
Again, when you bring food, if the box is empty, go ahead and fill it. If you have leftover food it goes into the ivory colored cabinet in Gage Hall. You can fill the Blessing Box anytime, not just on the week you have signed up for.
THANKS, the need is growing. Sign up here
