One of the best parts of my job is finding ways to include children in the life of our church. Making our gatherings kid-friendly also means they are accessible to parents, who otherwise might not make it to the event or service if it lacks options for their children.
We celebrated Halloween with a concert and a party, decorated Gratitude Boxes at our outdoor Thanksgiving service, and had so much fun this holiday season. Our Christmas pageant was a wonderful success, thanks to our kids and volunteers.
We have a quiet kids’ area for children to be with us in worship, and the Time for All Ages during the service brings delight across the generations.
These experiences continue to show how much children and families enrich our congregation.
I’m grateful to the families and volunteers who make Religious Education possible, and I look forward to building on this momentum in the months ahead.
Sincerely,
Emily White
Lifespan Religious Ed. Coordinator
